CLEPA, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers. 76 of the world's most prominent suppliers for car parts, systems and modules and 26 National trade associations and European sector associations are members of CLEPA, representing more than 3,000 companies, employing more than three million people and covering all products and services within the automotive supply chain. Based in Brussels, Belgium, CLEPA is recognized as the natural discussion partner by the European Institutions, United Nations and fellow associations (ACEA, JAMA, MEMA, etc).
EMF is the representative body defending the interests of workers in the European metal industry on behalf of 72 metalworking unions (and 4 associated organisations) from 33 countries, with a combined total of 5.5 million members.
The EMF was established in 1971 and has a mandate for the external representation and coordination of the metalworkers' unions and a mandate to engage in bargaining at European level.

Background
European Partnership for the Anticipation of Change in the Automotive Sector
The European partnership for anticipation of change was launched in October 2007 on the occasion of the Automotive Restructuring Forum organised by the European Commission. Its aim was to bring the car manufacturers and automotive suppliers to work together with the trade unions with a view to better anticipate the changes taking place in the industry thus contributing to the sustainability of the European automobile industry.
Anticipation of Change in the Automotive Industry: Phase I
This 12-month project was launched in 2008 to investigate the main drivers behind change in the automotive sector and the mechanisms that should be implemented to anticipate and manage it in a socially responsible way. Read more
